The "Attack on Titan" video game will be released in North America at the end of the month, and in preparation for the launch, developer Koei Tecmo America released its promo trailer. Apparently, the game will go beyond the scope of the first season of the "Attack on Titan" anime.

The two-minute launch trailer posted on YouTube shows the game's story, first with a blond female Titan rushing in to attack and the heroes trying to stop her. A male Titan breaches the wall, and it goes on to show Eren trying to beat another one of the giants, a monstrous beast-like creature.

According to Anime News Network, the main game is set at the time of the Battle of Trost, but by doing extra mission, gamers will be able to face both the Beast Titan and the Armored Titan. GameSpot also reported that the Beast Titan, which was not shown in Season 1 of the anime, is like a "gigantic ape-like creature" with "immeasurable amounts of force." The Armored Titan, meanwhile, is a towering monster that stands at 50 feet.

In an earlier report, Anime News Network listed down the playable characters, which include Armin, Conny, Eren, Erwin, Hange, Jean, Krista, Levi, Mikasa, and Sasha, and the non-playable ones include Bertolt, Ian, Reiner, Keith, Marco, Pyxis, Rico, and Ymir. Gamers can have equipment and weapons that can be upgraded.

The PC, PlayStation Vita, and Play Station 3 versions will be available in digital format, while physical copies will be available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

The "Attack on Titan" game, which was released in Japan in February, will be launched in the Americas on Aug. 30. Those who pre-order from GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, and EB Canada will reportedly be able to download Mikasa's festival costume as well as Eren's and Levi's cleaning costumes and weapons. Gamers who pre-order the digital copy from the Xbox and PlayStation stores is said to be getting "Attack on Titan" avatars.
