Naruto and Sasuke's battle against Kaguya is reaching its peak, but it remains to be seen how the two friends will take down the Ōtsutsuki matriarch. "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 471 showed how Obito sacrificed himself to save the two and Kakashi, and now Kakashi has to do something to not make that sacrifice come to naught.
Previously, as reported on Asia Stars News, Kaguya had finally decided not to conserve chakra after finding out that Naruto tricked her by passing the orbs to a clone. The place suddenly had a strong gravitational force that prevented the shinobi from being able to fight. In Episode 471, Kaguya targeted Naruto and Sasuke with bone spikes, but Kakashi and Obito, thinking the same thing, ran to block the attack, willing to sacrifice their lives in the process.
The difficulty of getting there in time was overcome when Rin appeared to them and pulled them both by the hands. Obito, with a vision of the always happy and supportive Rin, activated his Kamui and sent the spike that was about to stab Kakashi into another dimension. He, however, was stabbed in the abdomen. Knowing that he would be with Rin, he told Kakashi not to follow anytime soon.
In "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 472, Obito once again recalls his past - how the Akatsuki was formed, how the Nine-Tails was let loose in Konoha, how the fourth Ninja War was declared. Sasuke, feeling his powers return, attacks Kaguya but she disappears. Sasuke tells Naruto to leave Obito, who is beyond help now.
The episode is once again filled with Obito's memories and it shows his dream of becoming Hokage, even as his body is crumbling. He reminds Naruto to not change and to continue following his Ninja way. His last words before shattering into pieces are, for him to become Hokage. Sasuke and Sakura, meanwhile, are fighting against Kaguya
According to Yibada, the next episode will show Obito giving Kakashi one last gift: temporary use of two Mangyeko Sharingan. With the power of the Uchiha, Kakashi will reportedly be able to activate the Susanoo.
