In a recent interview, Kristen Stewart opened up about her relationship with Robert Pattinson wherein she stated that their relationship was made a product, which irked her and made her want to protect her personal life.
The 26-year-old actress said that she has learned a lesson by mixing her professional and personal life. Stewart has stated that the constant public exposure made her relationship lose its realness.
In her interview with NY Times, Stewart acknowledged that she is a public figure, thus, the audience would be interested to know about her and her love life. She also said that it is not that she wants to hide who she is as a person or what she is doing in her life, but being the topic of discussion for entertainment is something that she does not want to become.
Currently, she is in a relationship with her girlfriend Alicia Cargile and she feels confident than before. In the past, she could not talk about her relationships, but after she started dating girls, she was more than comfortable in her own skin.
Stewart also realized that she had the opportunity to do something positive. However, she has also admitted that she feels protective about her personal life but she does not want it to seem like it, E! News reported.
It must be mentioned that Stewart and Pattinson dated each other while they were working together for the movie "Twilight." Their relationship lasted for five years and they split in 2013 after Stewart was caught cheating on him.
Now, both have moved on and are happy in their personal lives. Reportedly, Pattinson is dating FKA Twigs and Stewart is with Cargile. Rumors about Stewart and Cargile's marriage were also doing the round lately and it seems that their wedding bells might ring very soon.
