Naian Gonzales Norvind has boarded the cast of FOX's "Gotham." The Mexican actress will recur in Season 3 as Alice Tetch, the younger sister of Jervis Tetch aka the Mad Hatter.
According to Variety, Alice was born with powers she cannot control - an ability her brother believes is a gift. However, Alice sees her abilities as a curse. Alice's ordeal pushed her to live alone while running away from her brother. In "Gotham" Season 3, the Mad Hatter will stop at nothing to be reunited with Alice and make sure her powers be known on earth.
Gonzalez Norvind joins previously cast Maggie Geha as the grown-up Poison Ivy, Jamie Chung as Valerie Vale and James Carpinello as Mario Falcone and Benedict Samuel as the Mad Hatter himself. Before landing her guest stint on "Gotham," she has been known for her breakout role in "Everybody's Got Somebody.. Not Me." She's also set to appear in the biopic of J.D. Salinger "Rebel in the Rye" starring Kevin Spacey and Nicholas Hault.
Moving forward, "Gotham" will also feature the return of Cameron Monaghan's Jerome, executive producer John Stephens confirmed in a report from Zap2it. According to Stephens, they are still on the works of developing the structure to bring him back. However, the showrunner noted that Jerome's resurrection can only happen if FOX renew the series for a fourth season.
"It is 100% our intention to bring Jerome back," Stephens said.
"Setting the stage that if there is a Season 4, hopefully we'll bring that back in a much bigger way and you'll see these different versions of the Joker myth."
"Gotham" stars David Mazouz, Ben McKenzie, Morenna Baccarin and Robin Lord Taylor. Season 3 premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8PM on FOX.
