The British actor Nicholas Hoult, played the role opposite Kristen Stewart in science fiction film "Equals," as her forbidden lover. The actor revealed that he did not enjoy Intimate scenes with the actress in the film and found them weird.
The much anticipated dystopian thriller was premiered in Paris on Sept 5, 2015 and released in the United States this year on July 15. The "Twilight" actress played the role of Nia and Hoult portrayed the character of an illustrator named Silas, where they are shown living in a society devoid of emotions. Hoult was surprised to see the trailer and found the Intimate scene between him and his co-star extremely weird, Vulture reported.
The movie represents a futuristic society where emotions have been eradicated. The main characters Nia and Silas wear all white outfits and following the norms of that society by staying emotionless. Since the emotions have been outlawed in that society, they keep their feelings forbidden until the point where feelings between them start to grow forgetting all bound.
Nia and Silas are not able to hide their feelings anymore. They indulge in physical contact which is otherwise forbidden in the society but they slowly began to get intimate and engage in kissing and taking shower together.
Hoult, 26, was intimidated by watching the first look of the film where an intense sexual encounter between him and Stewart is shown. However, the scene looked emotionless from the spectator's point of view, as was part of brilliant acting by the lead actors.
In the interview, Hoult was quoted saying that it was quite weird to enact that kind of scene onscreen, as he felt really weird from inside the first time he watched the film and felt like he shouldn't be watching it at all.
The movie might have had required actors to keep no emotions at all, Hoult and Stewart have become very friendly. They are all praises for each other. In a recent interview with Elle UK, "Kill Your Friends" actor revealed the deep connection he shares with Stewart. He went on to add that the actress is smart, passionate and cares about performing onscreen.
