"Haikyu!!" Season 3 television anime is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 7. It is reportedly set to run on the MBS, TBS, CBC, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, HBC, TBC and BS-TBS channels. No detailed schedules have been revealed yet but it has been announced that the precise airing times will be released in the future.
The storyline of "Haikyu!!" Season 3 is expected to continue with a match between the Karasuno High School team and their rivals from the Shirotizawa Academy. The 33rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump revealed the cast for the Shiratorizawa team in July, which included Subaru Kimura as Satori Tendo, Shimba Tsuchiya as Tsutomu Goshiki, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Kenjiro Shirabu and Teruyuki Tanzawa as Reon Ohira.
Other "Haikyu!!" Season 3 casts to join the anime are Takuma Terashima as Eita Semi, Kenji Fukuda as Hayato Yamakata, Daiki Ōmori as Taichi Kawanishi and Ryota Takeuchi as Wakatoshi Ushijima, Anime News Network reported. In addition, the magazine confirmed Ryota Takeuchi is returning as Wakatoshi Ushijima as well.
Susumu Mitsunaka will be directing the "Haikyu!!" Season 3 series at Production I.G again along with his assistant director Mariko Ishikawa. Taku Kishimoto is set to handle "Haikyu!!" Season 3 series composition while Takahiro Kishida will be designing the characters.
Yuuko Yahiro is joining Takahiro Chiba as a chief animation director for "Haikyu!!" Season 3. The anime's sound director is Hiromi Kikuta while Yuuki Hayashi and Asami Tachibana will be composing the music. Burnout Syndromes is set to perform the opening theme song Hikariare, while Nico Touches The Walls will be performing the ending theme song Mashi Mashi, My Anime List reported.
"Haikyu!!" Season 3 promotional video was released on the anime's official website last Friday. "Haikyu!!'s" debut season was released in April 2014 while the second season was aired in Oct. 2015.
