It’s been 8 years since South Korean boy group U-KISS made their debut in the entertainment industry. To remember the event, the members expressed their joy and gratitude to the people who became part of their journey in their official and respective social media accounts.
“August 28, 2016. Congratulations on U-KISS’s eighth debut anniversary!! U-KISS and KISSme, let’s keep going until our 80th anniversary,” the group’s official Twitter account posted as quoted by Soompi. It was later retweeted by group members Kevin and Kiseop.
Kevin later posted another tweet expressing his love and appreciation to their fans known as KISSme. Kiseop followed another gratitude post through his Instagram account.
The group just recently made their comeback in Korea after their busy schedules in promoting their music in Japan, All Kpop reported. The group’s comeback, which was announced by their leader Soohyun, surely made their Korean fans extremely happy.
U-KISS, which stands for Ubiquitous Korean International Idol Super Star, was formed by the record label and entertainment agency NH Media in 2008. The band first made their debut in Japan on August 15 and then on August 28 in Korea.
In February 2010, U-KISS released their first full-length album “Only One” and was followed by “NEVERLAND” in 2011. Their hit singles include "Tick Tack" and “Man Man Ha Ni”.
The group was originally made up of Eli, Alex, Kibum, Dongho, Kevin, and Shin Soohyun. However, members including Alexander, Kibum and Dongho left the group starting 2011 and was later replaced by Hoon and Jun.
