South Korean boy band 2PM is about to celebrate their 8th year anniversary on September 4. But before leaving for their upcoming performance in the “2016 JYP Nation Concert Mix & Match” in Japan, the group expressed their gratitude to their devoted supporters at Gimpo International Airport in Seoul.
According to a report by All Kpop, the band members held a banner at the airport in front of their waiting fans to show how much they appreciate their unceasing patronage to the group for the past 8 years. The banner reads: "2PM <3 HOTTEST. Thank you for our 8th anniversary. Forever just like this. Promise!".
Formed by talent management agency JYP Entertainment in 2008, 2PM is currently a six-member group made up by Jun. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon,Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung. Singer, actor, and record producer Jay Park who formerly stood as the band leader left the group in 2010 after his contract have been terminated by JYP due to an internet scandal.
Throughout their career, the group has released a total 10 albums in Korea and Japan. They also participated in the concerts of other KPop groups including the Wonder Girls World Tour in U.S.A. in 2010 and the Powerhouse Go Crazy concerts in Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and New York in 2014.
Meanwhile, group member Taecyeon’s latest TV project "Let's Fight Ghost" has just wrapped up on Aug. 29, Yibada reported. In the drama series, the star plays the role of an economic student and exorcist Park Bong Pal alongside actress Kim So Hyun.
