Notable custom PC builder Maingear is collaborating with equally prominent PC company Razer. The two firms are working on a new PC tower the boasts high-end specs, along with over-the-top design. Dubbed as the R1 Razer Edition, the PC is sure to entice enthusiast with its flashy green lighting and liquid cooling system.

The R1 Razer Edition is available in several models, depending on its specs although all of them looks exactly the same on the outside. The base model has an Intel Core i5 chip clocked at 3.2GHz, 8GB of memory, 1TB of hard drive storage space, and a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. The base setup costs $999, according to Engadget.

Razer and Maingear are giving buyers a lot of options to work with in upgrading the R1. The tower can be equipped with a liquid cooling system. They can also choose to pick an Intel deca-core i7 chip if they want top notch performance. In the graphics card aspect, they can choose to equip their R1 model with two GeForce Titan X video cards in SLI configuration. A 128GB DDR4 RAM configuration can also be arranged with 1.2TB PCI Express solid state drive.

If money is not an issue, interested buyers can opt in for the high end build which costs $4,099. It features an NZXT chassis that houses an MSI X99A Raider motherboard. Powering this setup is a 750W EVGA power supply. At its heart is an Intel Core i7 6800K cooled by Maingear's custom liquid cooler. The setup has 16GB of DDR4 HyperX Fury memory, 1GB of Seagate hard drive. Handling the graphics is the Nvidia GTX 1070 card.

According to Ubergizmo, each R1 Razer Edition is individually hand-assembled by a Maingear "master craftsman" based in New Jersey. All configurations of the R1 feature internal Origami wiring, and all the hardline liquid cooling system are handcrafted as well.

With these specs, even the base model of the R1 Razer Edition is capable to handle virtual reality headset like the HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift. Maingear and Razer said that they will also support custom builds that uses AMD graphics card.
