"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" dropped another teaser showing Ghost Rider's getaway car caught in a video footage.
In the teaser, the car can be seen through the flames with seemingly numerous witnesses but the Ghost Rider (to be played by Gabriel Luna) himself was not shown. Robbie Reyes a.k.a Ghost Rider is set to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Season 4 premieres. The new season will reportedly offer a darker material which is suitable for more mature audiences, Screen Rant reported.
Prior to the teaser, Marvel released an image of Luna embodying the character. In an in interview, co-showrunner Jed Whedon said that the character will be different from its comic book counterpart, Entertainment Weekly reported.
"As always, we are going to put our own spin on the character. We are staying true to the comics in the places where we feel like it's really important - we love the character's family dynamic and the East L.A. kid in him," he said.
Reyes is expected to cross paths with former S.H.I.E.L.D agent Daisy Johnson a.k.a Quake (played by Chloe Bennet) in Season 4. His exact role in the show is yet to be revealed but the character's inclusion will be the first step in introducing magic within the television offering of the MCU.
For the uninitiated, Reyes became the Ghost Rider in the comic books after entering a street race. Unbeknownst to him, the car he used was inhabited by a Ghost that transformed him into a new Ghost Rider.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" Season 4 premieres on September 20, 2016 on ABC.
