Nvidia's latest series of Pascal-based graphics card are widely held as the current king of hill in terms of compute power by many tech expert. It appears that despite its popularity, Nvidia is not yet done with its GeForce GTX 10 lineup of graphics cards. A recently leaked photo revealed details of the still unreleased Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, a graphics card which is, based on its specs, is billed for entry-level gaming.

The leaked photo shows a GPU-Z screenshot and was picked up by BenchLife. It has since then circulated in several tech websites. Based on the photo, the GTX 1050 will pack 768 CUDA cores with a 1316MHz base clock and 1380MHz boost clock. In comparison, the GTX 1050 shares the same number of CUDA cores with the GTX 950, although the latter has a slightly faster clock speed. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 is based on the GP107-400 die

Rumors claim that the Nvidia will release two variants of the GeForce GTX 1050: one with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM, and the other with 4GB. Since the GTX 1050 is billed for entry level gaming, many are expecting the graphics card to have a low power requirement.

According to Windows Central, Nvidia is gearing up to launch the GeForce GTX 1050 sometime in October. Regarding its price, the GTX 1050 is expected to be around the $150 price point. Since Nvidia has yet to officially confirm the existence of the GTX 1050, many in the tech community warns that these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt.

If the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 is indeed real, this could potentially give the company a chance to expand its market share, especially in the entry-level market. AMD, with its Radeon RX 400 series, is currently hailed as the sweet spot for entry-level gaming. On the other hand, Nvidia's graphics cards are more preferred by enthusiasts for high-end gaming.
