After a year and half of dating, South Korean actor Song Chang Eui and his non-celebrity girlfriend has finally tied-the-knot and declared their “I Do’s” on Sept. 5.
According to Soompi, the newlyweds held their marriage rites at a private venue in Samseong Dong, an area within the district of Gangnam in Seoul. The wedding was attended by various well-known personalities in the entertainment industry including musical actress Lee Jung Hwa and theater actor Kang Young Seok who both had special participation during the special day.
In June, the actor revealed through his social media page that he is bound to get married soon. He expressed his gratitude to his fans for being always there for him and assured them that he will not change his ways to disappoint them regardless of the fact that he will soon be a married man.
“My fans whom I love, I am getting married. I will be starting a new life with the precious person who has always been with me during happy, sad, and difficult times,” Song stated as quoted by Soompi. He further asked his fans’ blessing for the new path that he will be taking.
Following the actor’s statement was the revelation of his agency that he is set to get married later this month. It further added that Song and his then-girlfriend were very hands in preparing for the upcoming wedding.
Song was well-known for his portrayals in TV dramas “The Scales of Providence” and “Life Is Beautiful” and musical “The Play” and “Gwanghwamun Love Song”.
The 37-year-old actor started his career in the industry when he became part of the musical “Blue Saigon”. He rose to fame when he portrayed the role of a transgender rocker in the play “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”.
