While Sony and Bethesda are in strong disagreement over a long-expected PlayStation feature, gamers are still waiting in vain for the mods or modifications to be applied to PS4. Sad to say, these mods which happen to be Bethesda's open-world games structure will not be integrated to the "Fallout 4" and the upcoming "Skyrim: Special Edition" PS 4 versions.

According to the video game developer Bethesda, both the company and Sony has been in talks for months about the former's readiness to provide mod support for Sony's PlayStation 4. However, the electronics corporation "will not approve user mods the way they should work," Time reported.

Part of Bethesda's statement to the public said, "We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available."

Unfortunate for PS4 owners, they will not be able to modify their favorite real-time strategy games where they can include new weapons, items, characters, and levels to name a few. Luckily for Xbox One gamers, the "Fallout 4" mods are available since May.

Tech Times reported that it was assumed that Sony wants to administrate larger mechanism on how mods would be emphasized on its system rather than Bethesda's likings. Whatever its importance, Microsoft also controls which mods will appear on its console, like bareness nod. Sony appears to be taking things ahead too far and Bethesda chose to set aside the entire thing as a consequence.

With the turnout of the events, Microsoft will surely have the laugh. Since PS4 will have no mods, it is possible that these gamers will switch to Xbox One where they can fully utilize the console and do whatever they want in the game. Bethesda and Sony should do some talking if they don't want to be left out.
