"Jessica Jones" Season 2 may no longer feature Kilgrave (David Tennant), a person who threatened Jessica (Krysten Ritter) in the first Season. Reportedly, there are new villains to take over Kilgrave in the upcoming instalment.
It has been confirmed that the second season of "Jessica Jones" will have many villains. As reported previously, Jessica might end up facing members of IGH - the organization responsible for providing Simpson with power pills.
Marvel super-hero story earned great fame to Netflix and the viewers have been awaiting for the second instalment. According to Screen Rant, Jessica will once again be facing a new set of bad guys who will make life difficult for her.
Season 2 will reportedly depict the problems faced by the superhero-turned-private-investigator. Some of them may reportedly be part of Will Simpson's (Wil Traval) organization. These villains are said to be introduced in "Marvel's The Defenders," which will be released in 2017.
The upcoming new season is expected to feature Jessica and Trish's relationship. Back in August, in a discussion with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Melissa Rosenberg told that their friendship would continue to be the focal point of the storyline. For Jessica, there is no one more important than her best friend. She values Trish's acceptance of her flaws and is thankful for her support in her mission to rid the society of bad people.
"I'm interested in continuing to explore the relationship between Trish and Jessica that is the core relationship in the piece. It is about female friendship, it is about how friends evolve - they're sisters, really - and it's about how they evolve and ping off each other. I'm interested in relationships, whether they be romantic, or family, or friends, or professional - that's what's interesting to me, is Jessica in relationship to people," the EP shared.
Previously, Tennant - the mind-controlling villain was killed by Jessica breaking his neck in front of her best friend Trish (Rachael Taylor).
"Jessica Jones" Season 2 is expected to return in 2018.
