As the worldwide famous app "Pokemon Go" set the world record with its popularity, other similar apps are also soon to step up to compete with the augmented reality game. One such app will be based on the ever famous "Super Mario," in which devices such as iPhone will soon have.

With the release of the latest iPhone 7, the iOS will also be having a few more apps along. That being said, the iPhone will be introducing "Super Mario Run," as stated by Business Insider.

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto made an announcement during the launch of Apple's latest device that "Super Mario Run" will be made available in the digital shelves before the advent of 2017.  To further back that claim, the American branch of Nintendo announced in their official Twitter account that the game's release will be sometime in December.

Fortune reported that with "Super Mario Run" for the iPhone, Nintendo's sales have increased significantly. It was also revealed that the game app plays differently from its Nintendo console predecessors. One button to control Mario as he runs and jumps around and collects coins is deemed an enjoyable convenience for iPhone users.

With this marketing move through "Super Mario Run," Nintendo might also transition to smartphones (or even smart devices as well). With their shares have bumping up to $3.32 by 28.79 percent, it won't be long before Nintendo will start making more branded apps in the future, with "Pokemon Go" as a stepping stone.

The franchise of "Super Mario" (as well as its titular character Mario) has been around for long time, hitting the arcades for more than 30 years, thanks to Shigeru Miyamoto. With one of the most influential games still alive and kicking in the latest technologies, fans and newcomers alike will surely enjoy "Super Mario Run."
