"Walking Dead" Season 7 returns with Negan introducing some big changes ahead. Negan is expected to kill one or many from Rick's team.

A new teaser for the upcoming season was released by Us Magazine depicting things unfair for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company.

"There are rules," Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is heard telling Rick's group in the clip. "You earn what you take." Negan is shown walking around Rick and the rest of the group holding a barbed wire baseball bat. The clip cuts to zombies walking around town in between takes of car chases and brutal fights. "Things have changed," Negan adds. "Whatever you had going for you, that's over." The trailer ends with Negan offering an ominous warning, "Thing is, I am everywhere."

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Greg Nicotero said, "I don't think we would have changed anything. I would have still supported doing it the way that we did it, because of the fact that the story doesn't end there."

"If we would have shown the deaths, then they wouldn't have felt our characters in season 7 the way they need to. And the thing that I think a lot of people will get out of it is how that moment changes the entire makeup of our universe within a split second. And it's that moment that launches our entire season 7 into that direction," added Nicotero who is go-to director for the shows and films which involved horror and make up.

The word 'Deaths' in Nicotero's interview might be an indicator towards multiple deaths of Rick and the company. And the trailer too hints the same. However, E!News claims that it could just be poor word choice.

The last scene showed Negan holding a barbed-covered bat which he might use to kill one of Rick's team or many. He walked back and forth choosing who the unfortunate one is.

Season 7 will answer all the questions. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere airs Oct. 23 on AMC.
