After starring in various musicals, South Korean singer and actress Luna of the girl group f(x) is set to star in another show. This time, she is chosen as one of the cast members of the upcoming theater play “Five-Course Love”.
This announcement was revealed by the show’s production team on Sept. 12, All Kpop reported. According to them, the 23-year-old singer will portray the role of 5 characters namely Barbie, Sofia, Gretchen, Rosalinda, and Kitty.
“Luna, who has consistently performed on the musical stage through [her roles] in ‘Legally Blonde,’ ‘High School Musical,’ ‘In the Heights,’ and more, will be taking on her first small theater musical,” a production staff stated as quoted by All Kpop.
Joining Luna on the show are actresses Lee Ha Na and Moon Seul Ah. The two stars are also portraying 5 characters each.
“Five Course Love” is a musical comedy which tells the story 15 different characters in five different restaurants who are in search for love, Soompi reported. It will be shown at the KT&G SangSang Art Hall from November 11 to February 12 next year.
Meanwhile, Luna will be performing at the Spectrum Dance Music Festival which will be held on October 1 and 2 at the Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul. She is included in the special lineup of the festival host SM Entertainment, the “Dreamstation Crew” which includes SHINee’s Key, f(x)’s Amber, TRAX’s Jungmo, and SM Rookies’ Johnny.
Born as Park Sun Young, Luna rose to fame in 2009 when she became the main vocalist and lead dancer of South Korean girl group f(x) alongside Victoria, Amber, Krystal and former member Sulli. In 2011, she made her musical debut in the Korean adaptation of the American play “Legally Blonde”.
