The realistic racing simulator has confirmed that they have no plans to make a Nintendo Switch version of the game. "Project CARS" has been highly anticipated by fans since the Wii U port of the game failed to materialize. The developer, Slightly Mad Studios was optimistic that the Wii U port would be competent but they were hit by numerous problems which caused delays and the eventual cancellation. One of the reasons why the game isn't being developed for the Nintendo Switch is because of the console's Tegra chip wouldn't be able to support the game's intensive requirements.

The augmented reality mobile game "Pokemon Go" is said to be one of the major factors in the higher shipments made by Nintendo. Its success helped increase the popularity of the game by bringing in new players and bringing back older fans.
