Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly upset with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali over actor Shahid Kapoor's bigger role in "Padmavati" movie.
The "Bajirao Mastani" actor is reportedly unhappy over Shahid Kapoor's presence in the film. As per the media reports, Singh has asked Bhansali to reduce Kapoor's role to a guest appearance in the historic romance drama. Bhansali, however, refused to oblige him.
"Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati was supposed to begin its first schedule last week, but it still hasn't," Bollywood Life entertainment news portal reported. "According to a highly placed source, the reason for that is Ranveer Singh's condition: he'll begin shooting only if the other actor in the film, Shahid Kapoor, is given a guest appearance billing," the report said.
Bhansali's ambitious multi-starrer project stars Singh and Kapoor in lead roles along with Deepika Padukone. The "Piku" actress is said to be playing the role of Rani Padmavati in the period drama, while Kapoor will play her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, Miss Malini news portal reported. Singh will essay role of the Alauddin Khilji in the movie.
Bhansali, Padukone and Singh have earlier worked together in box office blockbusters "Bajirao Mastani" and "Ram Leela." Kapoor, on the other hand, will be teaming up with Bhansali for the first time. The 31-year-old actor, who was last seen in Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani," is busy promoting his next movie "Befire" opposite Vaani Kapoor. He also bagged a lead role in Zoya Akhtar's next movie "Gully Boy."
