It's official! Park Yoochun starrer film "Lucid Dream" will hit the theaters on Jan. 4, 2017. The thriller movie directed by Kim Joon Sung under Road Pictures was supposed to be released this year, however, it was delayed after Park's sexual assault controversy surfaced.

"After Park Yoochun's sexual assault controversy in June, the production company and NEW had many discussions about the release date. We were preparing for a fall release, but we were thrown off track by the scandal," revealed by the production staff of "Lucid Dream."

From the initial plan of including "Lucid Dream" in this year's lineup, the staff said the movie was later listed to the lineup of movies to be released in January, Soompi noted. Park and the rest of the production started rolling for the upcoming film in April.

"Lucid Dream" is also Park's last project before he started his mandatory military service. While Park was in the midst of his military service in June, his name was dragged into a sexual assault controversy.

Koreaboo reported the 30-year-old actor was accused of raping two different women. According to reports, Park allegedly raped a woman inside a bathroom on an adult entertainment establishment.

Netizens even slammed the actor for being in such place while serving the mandatory military service. Meanwhile, another person who claimed to be a long-time fan of Park revealed the actor's "secrets," however, the revelations remained unconfirmed until now.

Meanwhile, the sexual assault charges against the "Lucid Dream" actor were immediately dropped after the investigation started. Despite that, Park drew backlash for allegedly refusing to address the issues pressed against him.

But before the controversies even die, another woman came out to accused Park of rape. "He said let's go talk in the washroom because it was too loud in the room. When we were in there, I was thinking about how far I should let things go on for and then he raped me," the woman narrated.

The woman said the incident happened in December last year, adding that she only found the courage to finally speak up after she heard of the previous rape case filed against the "Lucid Dream" actor.
