More news have surfaced on the upcoming post-apocalyptic sequel "Wasteland 3," as inXile Entertainment released a campaign pitch and trailer to showcase the gameplay. The game development is also in progress thanks to a crowdfunding campaign called Fig.
Eurogamer was able to cover more on the details on the upcoming turn-based tactical roleplaying game. The gameplay trailer shows the frozen setting of Colorado, an improved visual performance overhaul from the second "Wasteland" game, and an up-close camera perspective during conversations with NPCs.
As with many other games, "Wasteland 3" utilizes the updated Unity engine that was used on one of inXile Entertainment's other RPG, "Torment: Tides of Numenera." The post-apocalyptic game features riding vehicles, weapons, team play, and a multiplayer mode.
The game studio aims for $2.75 million from crowdfunding at Fig, with $2.25m coming from equity. Fig also sets itself apart Kickstarter as it lets backers actually invest in games.
A $5 discount on rewards backing will be granted to returning backers of all inXile projects, whereas all who to get to back within the first two games can acquire a free game. The free game given would either be the horror adventure "Stasis," or another turn-based post-apocalyptic RPG called "UnderRail."

"Wasteland 3" is currently in development and will have a Q4 2019 release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
