"Once Upon A Time" will feature the return appearance of August aka Pinocchio on its current sixth season, ET Online has learned. The fan favorite character, portrayed by Eion Bailey, is set to return for at least one episode in the first half of the new season. As to how he will figure in the show's current storyline, co-showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis has revealed that Pinocchio will be back to help his BFF, Emma, in her current ordeal of seeing visions of her imminent death.
"As a resident of Storybrooke and a close friend of Emma's, every now and then you need to call on Pinocchio to save the day," the showrunners told the publication.
Viewers last saw Pinocchio in Season 4's finale episode titled "Operation Mongoose Part 1," where he helped the heroes locate the Apprentice while also playing a role in stopping Isaac. Bailey joins previously announced returning guest star, Sean Maguire, who will reprise his role as Robin Hood in multi-episodes.
