Preview

New York is on a two-game losing slide after winning their first game of the season on Oct. 29 against the Memphis Grizzlies. The team is having difficulty on both ends of the floor as their offense is stagnant while their defense is much less to be desired by head coach Jeff Hornacek.

Carmelo Anthony averages 21.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in the team's first four games while Derrick Rose contributes 16.3 points and 2.5 assists a night.

The Knicks are coming off a disappointing 118-99 loss to the Houston Rockets at the Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, as per NBC New York.

Anthony produced 21 points and seven boards while Rose had 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals in another losing effort. Starting shooting guard Courtney Lee also netted 16 points while Brandon Jennings game off the bench to score 12 points.

The team's main issue is on the defensive end and Rose made sure his opinion was heard after the game.

"If we don't start playing defense, we're going to keep getting smacked like this," Rose said. "It comes with effort. It comes with everybody being on the same page."

Meanwhile, the Bulls opened the season with a three-game winning run until it was snapped on Wednesday by the Boston Celtics, 107-100, on the road at the TD Garden, Fox Sports reported.

The "Three Alphas" continue to play well for head coach Fred Hoiberg despite the loss as Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo, and Jimmy Butler combined for 50 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists in between them.

However, the threesome had trouble connecting their shots as they shot a combined 19-for 45 on the field for only 42 percent.

Prediction

This is the first time Rose and Knicks starting center Joakim Noah will play against their former club. It is interesting to see how the two long-time faces of the Bulls will fare especially playing in the United Center. However, Chicago is favored to win this one as New York continues to struggle with their chemistry issues.
