This is one episode closer to the revelation of who among ABC's "How To Get Away With Murder" leads is laid under the sheets from Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) burnt house. Having identified to be a male character from the previous episodes, assumptions are narrowed down towards Nate (Billy Brown), Wes (Alfred Enoch), Connor (Jack Falahee), and Frank (Charlie Weber), who are all known to be closely affiliated with Annalise.
The episode starts with Wes being questioned by the New York Police Department as a witness to the Wallace Mahoney murder. As seen from the previous episode, Wallace's son, Charles Mahoney, has been set up by Frank as key suspect to the crime. Later, Frank sneaks at Laurel's (Karla Souza) apartment, catching her and Wes in an intimate affair. Upset, this leads him crying to Bonnie (Liza Weil), who is, apparently, still unforgiving of him, and strongly shoves him out.
Meanwhile, Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) decisively exposes to his new beau about him being HIV positive, which drives the latter in an unexpected reaction, saying he is not ready for this. The heartbroken IT expert finds himself back to Connor, expressing his longing for the ex-lover.
Episode 7 pro bono case concerns siblings who are charged with conspiracy on murdering their mother. Turns out, the enraged woman poisoned herself with antifreeze to pass on the blame to her children for joking about wanting to kill her.
In the flash forward burning house scenario, we figure Annalise is being charged with arson and first-degree murder, coming from an anonymous source. On this episode, as well, Annalise faces her Keating Five, who ragingly throws their frustrations at her for not being honest about Charles Mahoney's guilt, responding with "Sometimes I lie to protect you". This set-up gives the viewers an increasing suspicion of who among the five betrays the strong-willed attorney. Coming close to the end of the episode, however, Wes is seen demanding an immunity deal from detectives in exchange for his aid in taking "her" down.
The dead man from the burning Keating house shall be conclusively revealed on "Who's Dead", the season finale of "How To Get Away With Murder" according to a press release. The episode will be aired on Nov. 17, 10:00 p.m. EST, on the ABC Television Network.
