McGorry, plays correctional officer Bennet in the series. On Monday, the 30-year old actor shared a picture on Instagram after hiking with former co-star Laverne Cox, People reported.
McGorry had been absent in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4. Fans speculated that the actor may return in Season 5.
To recap, McGorry's last appearance on the show was in Season 3 where he left a pregnant Daya (Dascha Polanco) who has since given birth to a baby girl that ended up in social services. In an interview, McGorry was asked for a possible return to the show but the actor insisted that he does not know much at this point.
"At this point, I don't know what will happen next. I wish I could give you more information, but I don't know anything at this point," he told Bustle.
He went to say that he was actually satisfied with the way his character was written out of the series. McGorry said that considering the history of the characters, the end of Bennett and Daya's relationship made sense.
"Considering what their story actually looked likeit was probably the only way it could have ended," he said.
McGorry is currently starring in ABC's "How to Get Away With Murder" where he is one of the main characters. Meanwhile, Netflix's "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 is expected to return on June 2017.
