Following the huge success of Marvel's "Doctor Strange," screenwriter C. Robert Cargill is now set for his newest project with director Nikhil Bhagat.
According to Radio Times, Cargill has written a fantasy short film titled "As They Continue To Fall," which is a story of a man who hunts and kills fallen angels. Reports claimed the short film has been submitted for a possible adaptation.
In the now-closed Kickstarter of "As They Continue To Fall," director Bhagat revealed the fantasy short film is set in "a dark and foreboding metropolis filled with crime, corruption, grime, and a sense of urban decay."
He went on, "The short is going to attempt to have the audience fill in the blanks with their own metaphysical models and come to a conclusion themselves. It will not be heavy handed or loaded with answers."
Cargill is known for his eerie projects like "Sinister" and "Sinister 2." And things are getting creepier with "As They Continue To Fall," as the film revolves around the story of an angler hunter.
The short film is described as a story of "an aging drifter hunts fallen angels in a city slowly falling apart." On Oct. 19, director Bhagat uploaded the six-minute film on YouTube and expressed his gratitude for the collaboration and for their supporters, CBR reported.
The director also shared he first met Cargill on Reddit. "Thanks to everyone for making this happen. Starting with Reddit, as I met the screenwriter (C.Robert Cargill) on the website and I was able to get valuable feedback from all the redditors during my test screenings," Bhagat wrote.
"Thanks for the cast and crew for bringing their technical and artistic experience to make this happen. And thanks for all the Kickstarter contributors for donating time and money. Ultimately Cargill gave me an amazing script and I tried to make it as cinematic and entertaining as possible."
