"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is latest entry in the long-running first-person shooter "Call of Duty" franchise.
The game is set in a distant future where players will be Captain Nick Reyes. Reyes is Tier 1 Special Operations pilot who must lead his crew against a hostile military organization called Settlement Defense Front that wants to conquer the entire galaxy, Gamespot reported.
The digital version is now available in PS4, Xbox and PC but before making a purchase, here's what you need to know:
1. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has a sports class system known as Combat Rigs with distinct abilities. Here's a rundown of the rigs:
*Merc - employs heavy suppression fire, useful in heavy combat situations.
*Phantom - the sniper class which is perfect for long-range attacks.
*Synaptic - if you want to fight up close and personal with the burst of speed, this will be perfect for you.
*Warfighter - best for those who are familiar with "Call of Duty" trademark gameplay. This is more suited for an all-around play.
*Striker - best for those who need a widespread area of effect damage.
*FTL - best if you like employing stealth tactics.
2. There is a mini-map in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can use this map to know the location of your allies and foes.
3. You can now fire weapons and throw grenades at the same time. This gives its players some cover while they prepare for a grenade explosion.
4. Know your weapon. The game has epic, legendary and rare weapons at your disposal. You have to earn them while you play or simply by levelling up.
The launch sales of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" are below 50 percent of that of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." In an interview, Activision said that they do not expect it to be as popular as the "Black Ops" franchise, Eurogamer reported.
So far the game has had mixed reactions from different reviewers. Fans do not like the space-set gameplay and criticized the game studios' decision to bundle it with "Modern Warfare Remastered."
