Preview

Brooklyn is on a mini-resurgence right now as the team won two of its last three games after going on a two-game losing slide. The team will look to make it three wins in four matches as they continue to improve with head coach Kenny Atkinson this season.

The Nets defeated winless road team Minnesota Timberwolves, 119-110, on Tuesday at their home court of Barclay Stadium, as per USA Today.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 26 points, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and a 3-for-7 stint from beyond the arc. He also had three rebounds, one assist, and three blocks.

Three other starters also scored in double figures, namely Trevor Booker, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who had 15, 13, and 13 points respectively.

Starting point guard Isaiah Whitehead chipped in six points, seven boards, and seven assists as a fill-in for the injured Jeremy Lin, how is also expected to miss this game versus the Knicks.

Brooklyn shot 55.3 percent of its field goals and had eight players scoring at least eight points, which indicates that the team is thriving in Atkinson's system.

"We're sharing the wealth a little more and in the perfect Utopian motion system, that's what it should look like, where it's really everybody's touching it," the coach said.

Meanwhile, the Knicks are still their old disappointing selves as they lost three of their last four matches.

New York is coming off a 114-109 home loss to the Utah Jazz at the Madison Square Garden on Sunday, the New York Times reported.

Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis scored 28 points each but it was still not enough to overcome the return of Gordon Hayward for Utah.

Derrick Rose had 18 points, four rebounds, and eight assists while backcourt-mate Courtney Lee chipped in 10 points, six boards, and three steals.

The Knicks led 80-78 after three quarters, but a 36-29 fourth period for Utah gave the visitors the win. New York is now 1-2 at home this season.

Prediction

Brooklyn is still winless on the road this season, but the Knicks are not at their best right now as the team is still trying to figure out head coach Jeff Hornacek's system. A close win for the Nets is predicted as another big game from Lopez is anticipated.
