Preview

New Orleans is still winless after seven games this season as they fell to the hot-shooting Golden State Warriors, 116-106, on the road at the Oracle Arena on Monday, as per ESPN.

The Pelicans were unable to withstand a record-breaking night for Stephen Curry, who made 13 three-point shots to break the record of most three-pointers made in a single game he previously shared with Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall.

Anthony Davis led head coach Alvin Gentry's squad as usual with 33 points and 13 rebounds. Two other starters scored in double figures with E'Twaun Moore and Tim Frazier firing 15 and 13 points. Frazier also had four boards and a team-high 10 assists while Moore chipped in three rebounds and five assists.

It was another frustrating night for Davis and Coach Gentry as they dropped their seventh consecutive game to start the season. The Pelicans are now 0-3 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Kings were able to snap a four-game losing slide as they pulled off a 96-91 road victory over a tough Toronto Raptors squad at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday night, the Sacramento Bee reported.

DeMarcus Cousins led the team with 22 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and three shot blocks while Rudy Gay top-scored with 23 points together with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Starters Kosta Koufos and Arron Afflalo also scored in double figures with 13 and 12 points respectively and combining for 11 boards.

"It was much needed, a confidence boost, a momentum boost," said Cousins after the match. "It's a good feeling. It would have been a pretty long flight if we went home off this road trip with no wins, so it makes it a bit better. But we're still finding ourselves. We've still got a lot of growing to do."

The Kings are 1-1 at home and 2-4 on the road this season.

Prediction

A second straight victory for Sacramento as they welcome themselves back home with a bang.
