(Photo : YouTube/Blizzard) Blizzard won’t be planning on remastering the first two “Warcraft” games, focusing rather on their current and future titles.

Even if Blizzard has already been planning to remaster the first "Diablo" game, it may be possible that may remaster other of its classic games, like "Warcraft." However, recent reports reveal that the big studio itself has no plans on remastering the first and second "Warcraft" game.

Eurogamer noted that a fan asked at Blizzcon last weekend that the first two classic RTS games of the "Warcraft series will join the bandwagon for remasters. The "Warcraft" RTS series, which was the cornerstone for widely acclaimed games like "World of Warcraft," "Hearthstone" and the entire MOBA genre, will not have any remasters, unfortunately.

"We are fortunate enough to have all of the original source code and assets to everything we've done in the past," answered Jack Pearce, Blizzard's co-founder. "But actually, it turns out, it's really hard to access that stuff, unlock it, and figure out how it all works. Because we're old, we've forgotten.

Pearce went on to add: "We had some dedicated folks that were passionate about the idea, dig up the 'Warcraft 1'; assets and code. They got it working and they got it running in a window. And I played it. 'Warcraft: Orcs & Humans' was awesome for its time. I promise you, in today's world, by today's standards, it's just not that fun anymore."

This may mean that the gameplay and story concepts of the first two "Warcraft" RTS games are little too archaic with the common concepts of modern standards.

According to IGN, Blizzard president Mike Morhaime assured that this was the studio's plan possibly for the time being. However, he did say that the widely acclaimed game studio is currently setting their eyes on making history, rather than dwelling on it.

"We have limited resources with everything that we choose to do," said Blizzard's president. "We would much rather work on amazing content for 'World of Warcraft' for you guys, or for 'Overwatch,' or evaluating what a future project pipeline might be and devote our time to that, rather than going back and digging up those fossils."

Fans are still continually hoping that Blizzard would have the time to remake the classic RTS to relive them, along with a re-release of "Warcraft 3," "Diablo 2" and "StarCraft."
