Sacramento Kings have a really terrible turnover records this season. Their turnover made the entire team suffer and give their opponents a helping hand.

Based on the statistics, from the 11 games which the Kings played this season, they have averaged 14.3 turnovers per game. Head coach Dave Joerger tried so hard to reduce the number of turnover which was described as ‘catastrophic turnover’ according to report by Sacramento Bee.

However they haven’t been able to reduce it, particularly in a game against Portland Trail Blazers last Friday, Nov. 11. They committed 15 turnovers which the Trail Blazers converted them well into 25 points to win the game 122-120. But coach Jorger downplay the number of turnover his team committed.

“I think some of them are just careless,” he said. “The long passes, I love the fact that guys are out running and we’re looking for our teammates. Those are good. But we’re not completing them.”

The Kings committed the highest number of turnovers in a game against Atlanta Hawks on Oct. 31 with 19 turnovers. As a result, they lost the game 96-105. This clearly showed that their turnover has caused a lot of troubles.

Sacramento Kings have tried to become different team this year under coach Jorger according to Bleacher Report, but they still continue their bad habit from last season. Their habit to play a confine isolation offense and continuous mistakes during defense still continue this year.

Coach Joerger understands that the team need time to work on their defense. He fully understand that the team will not be able to change instantly. Especially, after George Karl, who is considered as one of the best coach in the NBA was not even able to change the team.

The Kings started this season with the 4-7 records and two consecutive losses from LA Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers showed the team need to work out their defense even more. Sacramento Kings will play against San Antonio Spurs this Wednesday night at Golden 1 Center, Sacramento.
