After walking an hour and a half late into his show in Sacramento, California last Saturday night, Kanye West disappointed and enraged fans by cutting the show short serving only three songs. This later paved way to a 15-minute tirade against personalities as Beyonce, Jay Z, and Hilary Clinton.
The "Heartless" hit maker first launched into a rant against Beyonce, saying he was hurt after hearing that the singer-actress would only perform if she wins Video of the Year, as reported by Yahoo7 Be. West added, "Sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are - just to win.", disgracing Queen Bee for using her "dirty tricks". He later attacked Beyonce's partner, Jay Z, for not contacting him, saying "Just call me - talk to me like a man."
Furthermore, West took into favor president-elect Donald Trump after he declared his support for him days ago. He quoted Mr. Trump: "This is the future. This is the way of thinking to make America great again.", which made the fans jeer on him thereafter. He criticized Ms. Hilary Clinton and President Barrack Obama, saying that they must take on living in a "new world".
West also stirred up social media, particularly Facebook and Google, which allegedly "lied" about the polls during the election. He turned up to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, expressing his dismay upon not giving the help he supposedly promised.
The controversial rapper performed two songs from his album, "The Life Of Pablo" - "Famous" and "Father Stretch My Hands", and brought out old friend Kid Cudi on stage to share a song with him. That was when he started his 15-minute rant, and straightway left the venue, prompting boos from all the audience.
Days after this incident, West called off his L.A. date at The Forum. The concert, as part of his Saint Pablo Tour, was cancelled three hours before show time, with no immediate explanation provided by the promoter, Live Nation, as reported by Los Angeles Times. The announcement was made only through a tweet by The Forum, saying that refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
