Philippines TV sensation AlDub recently opened their first library in the country.

AlDub, which is made up of two local celebrities Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) and Alden Richards, raised a total of $14 million from their recent concert.

According to Manila Bulletin, the proceeds from the concert was used to have the onscreen couple's first library built.

AlDub's concert, entitled, "Tamang Panahon" took place at the Philippine Arena on Oct. 24. Their first library opened on Jan. 21 at the Lumban Center Elementary School in Laguna.

The publication revealed that the opening of the library was featured in the kalyeserye episode of the hit noontime show "Eat Bulaga," and it was also attended by Mendoza, Richards and their co-stars Wally Bayona and Jose Manalo.

After the opening of the library, the school principal Anabelle Castro expressed her gratitude to AlDub and everyone who made the building of the library possible.

Castro revealed that their small school didn't have a library because in the first place, they also didn't have enough classrooms. The school's old library was later on turned into a classroom to accommodate more students.

Meanwhile, several photos from the opening of the library was posted on "Eat Bulaga's" official Facebook page.

Some of the photos showed the books, computers, tables and chairs that are now available inside the school's library.

Other photos showed an image of a silver plaque outside the library that has inspiration words written in the country's local language.

"Ito ang patunay ng dedikasyon ng 'Eat Bulaga' sa pagsulong sa edukasyon at pagsuporta sa mga batang mag-aaral na nagsisikap maabot and kanilang mga pangarap. Hangga't may bata, may 'Eat Bulaga!'" it read.

(This serves as "Eat Bulaga's" dedication to promote education and to support school children who are trying their best to reach their dreams. As long as there are children, there will be 'Eat Bulaga!')

At present, AlDub and "Eat Bulaga" are still teaming up to have other constructions built in Camarines Sur, Pangasinan, Capiz and Lanao Del Norte.
