Preview

Philadelphia remains at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings as the team is currently on a seven-game losing slide.

The Sixers' latest loss is a 106-98 decision to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night at their home court of Wells Fargo Center, as per CBS Local Philadelphia. Six players from Philly scored in double figures, including four starters and two bench players.

Ersan Ilyasova and Sergio Rodriguez both scored 17 points while Joel Embiid, who returned after missing the team's previous 107-106 loss to Boston, had 16 points and five shot blocks. Starting point guard Gerald Henderson netted 14 markers.

Off the bench, Dario Saric and Richaun Holmes contributed 17 and 11 points respectively with eight rebounds each.

Head coach Brett Brown was disappointed about his team's 14 second-half turnovers, saying that they have to take better care of the ball in order to pull off a win.

"There's a lot of things that led to the loss, (and) I think that's the major one," said Brown. "The abundance of turnovers in a single half, it's hard to find a way to win with that volume of turnovers."

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are currently in the sixth place in the Western Conference standings and are on a three-game winning run.

Their last game resulted in a 110-108 double overtime victory over the struggling New Orleans Pelicans on the road at the Smoothie King Center also on Monday, SB Nation reported.

Marc Gasol had a triple-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists for Memphis. He also had two steals and two blocks and shot 11-for-25 from the field, including a 3-for-6 stint from beyond the arc.

Tony Allen had a great offensive night with 19 points. He also contributed 14 boards, three steals, and one block.

Rookie Andrew Harrison continues to fill-in for the injured Mike Conley and chipped in 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Prediction
