The next entry in the "Cloverfield Universe" produced by "Star Trek" director JJ Abrams will arrive on Oct. 27, 2017.

Earlier reports tell of the studio Bad Robot's next unique film, "God Particle," in the lineup of Abram's "Cloverfield," along with Paramount Pictures. The "Star Trek" director plans on releasing consecutive films of the franchise every year in the possible future, with a couple of recurring themes revolving around "sci-fi" and "aliens."

Here's the official description of the movie, directed by Julius Onah: "After a physics experiment with a large hadron accelerator causes the Earth to seemingly vanish completely, the terrified crew of an orbiting American space station is left floating in the middle of now-even-more-empty space. When a European spacecraft appears on their radar, the Americans must determine whether it's their salvation, or a harbinger of doom."

However, new reports from Deadline suggest that "God Particle" has been taken out from the studio's release time slot, however, another title called "2017 Cloverfield Movie" seems to appear in the new Fall release slot.

Originally, "God Particle" was first announced back in 2012. However, the project's progress was fluctuated for years and never had any follow-up updates in the months that followed. The only news that surfaced was when after Insurge Pictures (Paramount's independent studio subsidiary) have undergone a lot of legal issues back then. But, now, news has resurfaced about the sci-fi thriller and has been confirmed to be currently in production.

Aside from the title now changing to something we don't know yet, the film star David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki,Daniel Brühl and Chris O'Dowd.

What will we expect from the upcoming movie? Will both Abrams and Onah start showing aliens upfront? Or will they be mysteriously subtle about it? We'll just have to find out once the film releases on Oct. 27, 2017.
