BTS is the leading boy group in terms of brand value for the month of January!
Allkpop reported BTS got a total of 8,895,084 brand value ratings, while EXO settled at the 2nd spot with 5,640,921 and SEVENTEEN at the 3rd spot having 4,012,074 brand value ratings.
Reports stated the results were based from the performance of the boy groups from Dec. 13 to Jan. 14, and was examined by the Korean Institute on Corporate Reputation.
Other boy groups who made it on list include BIGBANG, BTOB, Shinhwa, INFINITE, VIXX, B2ST, SHINee, Sechskies, B1A4, Block B, WINNER, Monsta X, Super Junior, B.A.P, TVXQ, JYJ, 2PM, ZE:A, TEEN TOP, 2AM, and FTISLAND.
Soompi reported BTS is currently gearing up to release an extension of their latest album "WINGS." Further reports claimed the boy group is planning to drop the new release in February.
Big Hit Entertainment confirmed BTS is planning to make a new release; however, the label emphasized that they have yet to set a specific date for the album.
"It's true that BTS is currently preparing with the goal of a comeback in February, but nothing has yet been confirmed. They are still discussing what type of release they will put out. No time period for a release has been set," the label said.
BTS released their second full-length album "WINGS" on Oct. 10 with carrier single "Blood Sweat & Tears." Prior to the release, the album was made available for pre-orders in September, reaching 500,000 sales within a week.
"WINGS" also achieved an all-kill, bringing BTS on the Billboard 200 list. The album was named as the highest-charting, best-selling K-Pop album on the chart.
Just recently, the seven-member boy group was even featured on CNN for their upcoming show in Chile. Reports revealed BTS will stage their second show in the country on March 12.
