On the 5th episode of their live stream show titled “Red Velvet's Timeout! VICTORY”, South Korean rookie girl group Red Velvet revealed some exciting information about their much-awaited comeback.
The girls revealed that the choreography of their latest single will showcase their most energetic side, reports All KPop. They also spilled that ones in charge of their comeback are the coordinators of the popular boy group EXO.
Red Velvet is set to return to the music scene on February 1 with their 4th mini-album titled “Rookie”. Furthermore, their guesting episode on JTBC’s variety show “Abnormal Summit” will be aired on February 6.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet has recently appeared on tvN's ”Raid the Convenience Store”. During the show, group member Wendy opened up about her weight issues in the past.
"I used to be fat. But I lost a lot of weight now… If I eat a certain amount, I get anxious,” revealed Wendy as quoted by All KPop.
To console her feelings, her fellow members read the letter they have prepared for her. After delivering their special message to Wendy, all the members ended up being emotional.
"Our Wendy is a bright girl...please give her lots of support as she is a pure person. She is very good at looking after others. Although she can be a bit slow at times, she is a very friendly person...Lastly, she worries a lot...please cheer her on," stated Yeri, Irene, and Joy.
Red Velvet began its career in the industry in 2014 under the management of label giant S.M. Entertainment with the release of their digital single titled “Happiness”. The band is made up of 5 members namely Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri.
Throughout their career, the group received numerous recognition from several prestigious award-giving bodies. This includes the “New Artist Award” from the 2015 Golden Disk Award, “Best Dance Performance – Female Group” for their single “Ice Cream” from the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) and “Netizen's Choice Award” from the 2016 Korean Entertainment Arts Awards.
