“Legend of the Blue Sea” star Lee Ji Hoon has recently poured out his love and appreciation to his supporters through a sweet message delivered by his talent management agency Keyeast Entertainment.
“'Filming ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ was such a meaningful experience because I learned new things every day I was on set. Thank you to everyone for giving my character Heo Chi Hyun a lot of love, even though he was the antagonist,” said the 28-year-old actor as quoted by Soompi.
When it comes to his plans after the hit TV drama series, Lee added: “I will work hard to come back in another good project soon. Please give lots of attention to ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ until the end.”
The Hallyu star plays the role of the antagonist named Heo Chi Hyun, the stepbrother of one of the lead characters Heo Joon Jae’s, in the series. Because of his outstanding performance in the show, Lee received positive reviews from the viewers.
“Legend of the Blue Sea” unravels the love story of a man and a mermaid whose fate turned out to be intertwined with each other as they reincarnate in the modern days. The drama aired its last episode on January 25.
Aside from Lee Ji Hoon, the show’s lead star Lee Min Ho, who portrayed the role of Heo Joon Jae, also shared his thoughts to everyone who supported his character. According to Lee as quoted by All KPop: “The 5 months living as Jun Jae was overwhelming happiness. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the fans who watch over the path of actor Lee Min Ho with warm hearts”.
He further stated that he would never forget the people who allowed him to be who he really is. At the end of the message, he expressed his gratitude for the support he had received, an act which according to him, made him a better version of himself.
