The producer of the South Korean suspense TV drama series ‘Missing 9’ has recently revealed what’s next for Chanyeol’s character and explained why the star did not have much exposure in the first few episodes of the show.
“Chanyeol didn’t have many parts in the beginning of the drama, so he couldn’t show off his acting ability. However, you will definitely be able to see his acting skills as the episodes go on… Nine survivors of a plane crash end up in an island together. There are veteran actors playing parts in this drama. Chanyeol is [in scenes] together with those actors and fitting in well and being influenced by them,” said producer Jang Hyun as quoted by Soompi.
He further said: “Chanyeol is following the actors well and is receiving help from them in terms of acting. There are comical parts, but Chanyeol will also be acting out emotional scenes in desperate situations… One of the key aspects of the drama will be watching Chanyeol grow as an actor.”
“Missing 9” tells the story of a tragic plane crash which resulted to the disappearance of 9 passengers including several celebrities. In the series, Chanyeol portrays the character of a former band drummer turned solo artist named Lee Yeol. Joining him are Hallyu stars Oh Jung Se, Choi Tae Joon, Lee Sun Bin, Kim Sang Ho, Tae Hang Ho and Ryu Won.
Meanwhile, the EXO member is reportedly doing a collaboration song with Seventeen member Woozi. The issue began to surface after Chanyeol posted a picture with Woozi inside a production room on Instagram, reports All KPop.
"Woozi in the studio 519. #So Adorable,"reads the caption. However, no official statement was released by the camps of two stars yet.
