Gong Yoo has been receiving a lot of attention after the success of his recent drama "Goblin." In fact, the Korean actor has been busy doing photo shoots since the series wrapped up last month.
Sources said Gong Yoo's slate is currently full; hence, the "Goblin" actor has yet to respond to any proposal offered by 15 countries that are wooing him to hold fan meeting events. According to Soompi, some of the countries that have shown interest in the Korean star include China, Japan, Hong Kong as well as the United States.
An affiliate of the "Goblin" star revealed Gong Yoo has photo shoots and recordings that are scheduled every day at least until March. However, an insider on Friday shared the actor's plan after completing his prior commitments.
Koreaboo cited the 37-year-old actor plans to take a breather after his schedule loosens up. "We think he will be taking a break away from schedules from mid-March and onwards," a source from Soop Entertainment said.
The insider also hinted about Gong Yoo's upcoming project, stating that the actor might take the big screen after his recent drama.
"He will be evaluating all scenarios regarding his next work during that time. His next work is most likely going to be a movie rather than a drama," the insider added.
Before he played as the "Goblin," the Korean actor starred in "Train to Busan," where he impressed his local and foreign fans with his acting. The zombie apocalypse movie was even showcased at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
Prior to that, Gong Yoo has done several movies including "A Man and A Woman," "The Suspect," "Silenced" and "The Age of Shadows."
Although nothing has been confirmed about Gong Yoo's upcoming project yet, his fans are just happy to hear that the actor will finally get some time alone after his hectic schedule ends in mid-March.
