Miss A member Suzy Bae will soon have a life-size replica of herself as the world famous figure maker Madam Tussauds creates the singer’s own wax figure, making her the first Korean female artist to be depicted with wax material.
According to South Korean talent agency and record label JYP Entertainment which handles the 21-year-old star, Suzy’s wax figure will soon be launched in Madam Tussauds Hong Kong in the first part of August, International Business Times reported.
In a statement released by Suzy, she expressed her gratefulness and appreciation to be hailed as the first Korean female artist to be designated a wax figure from one of the world’s greatest wax maker. She further said that the whole process gave her new level of involvement and adventure.
“I want to say thank you to the production team. I’m looking forward to the day that the figure is up for fans to see,” Suzy said as quoted by Soompi.
English experts have come all the way from Europe to Korea to assess Suzy’s body measurements, a JYP representative revealed, adding that the whole process took almost seven hours. Prior to Suzy, Korean celebrities like Lee Song Juk, Bae Yong Joon, Lee Min Ho, and Kim Soo Hyun already had their wax figures made by Madam Tussauds.
Suzy started her career in the Korean entertainment spotlight when she joined the girl band Miss A in 2010. She also starred in various TV drama series like “Dream High,” “Gu Family Book” and “Big.” Currently, she is one of the leading characters in the KBS drama “Uncontrollably Fond” with “The Heirs” star Kim Woo-bin.
