‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6 air date, news, updates: 'True Blood' alum Giles Matthey cast as Morpheus; Production begins for Season 6

Giles Matthey has joined the cast of "Once Upon A Time" Season 6. In other developments, the cast and crew of the ABC series have already kicked off production for the new bunch of episodes.

"True Blood" alum Giles Matthey has been tapped to play Morpheus on "Once Upon A Time" Season 6, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The ABC series will introduce Matthey's character as the quick-witted, insightful god of dreams from Greek mythology. Morpheus' role in Season 6 is to guide the residents of Storybrooke through the world of dreams. Since Belle is under a sleeping curse, "Once Upon A Time" will introduce Morpheus in Season 6 to interact with her and Rumple. However, Morpheus is also hiding a yet to be known agenda.

Joining Matthey on "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 is "Legend of the Seekers" star Craig Horner, who has landed the role of the Count of Monte Cristo. The actor is booked to appear in at least one episode in the new season.

In other "Once Upon A Time" news, the cast has already kicked off production for Season 6 - as photos from the set have started to get leaked online. Sightings of cast members Lana Parilla, Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle shooting their sequences have been reported.

Co-creator Adam Horowitz has also shared fresh intel about Once Upon A Time Season 6, revealing some of the show's titles on Twitter.

"Here's another #OnceUponATime #titlespoiler," Horowitz said.

"Hope to see ya 9/25 for season 6!"

"Once Upon A Time" Season 6 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 25 on ABC.
