"Dead Rising's" zombie-slaying havoc will find its way on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as the game is slated for a Sept. 13 release date. The said information is based on the details leaked by the game's developer, Capcom, through a released date listing on Xbox Store.
Game Informer learned the news after its latest update with Capcom, as they responded with a note that the date indicated is just a "placeholder and not final." The representative mentioned that more information surrounding the official release timing will be revealed in the near future.
According to the store listing, "Dead Rising 1," together with "Dead Rising 2" and "Dead Rising 2: Off The Record," which will also be re-released on PS4 and Xbox One, will be available through a 8GB bundle. With that said, it calls for the perfect time to be undead. However, the details about the bundle's price are still undetermined at the moment.
Aside from the first three installments, it has been the "talk of the town" at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that "Dead Rising 4" will be released on the holidays. Reports also indicate that the forthcoming game will be a timed Xbox One console-exclusive for one year, like the feat experienced by "Rise of the Tomb" Raider.
According to WCCF Tech, the events of the first "Dead Rising" are being broadened for the fourth installment's storyline. Frank West, in "Dead Rising 4," will go back where it all began - Willamette, Colorado - where he will be able to explore the entire town and will have an ExoSuit to help him deal with new, dangerous zombie types like The Fresh and the Evo.
Released in 2006 for the Xbox 360, the first "Dead Rising" game is a survival-horror zombie-killing title developed by Japan-based Capcom, while the following sequels of the game were taken over by Capcom Vancouver, which was formerly known as Blue Castle Games.
Further details has not been officially confirmed by Capcom, so fans and video game enthusiasts should expect a potential "Dead Rising 4" launch date by September.
