As soon as "Once Upon A Time" returns for Season 6, viewers will immediately learn about the backstory of Belle. Co-showrunner Adam Horowitz revealed the scoop at San Diego Comic Con last month.
The character of Emilie de Ravin on "Once Upon A Time" is bound to get a blast from the past in Season 6, Zap2it has learned. The last time fans saw Belle was when she was pregnant and was trapped under a sleeping curse in Pandora's box. When the show returns, it will not take long before viewers see her again mingling with the residents in Storybrooke.
"As soon as the premiere episode, we'll be digging into Belle's story," Horowitz previewed.
"She won't be trapped for long."
Series star Emilie de Ravin added that apart from Belle's past, viewers will also get to know her character's family in the process. Since "Once Upon A Time" has already introduced Belle's parents in past installments, this new development could potentially mean that Season 6 will introduce other members of Belle's family, such as her siblings or cousins. However, the past of her parents is still a possible arc that should not be ruled out.
As to how Belle will deal with her pregnancy, de Ravin previewed in a report from Entertainment Weekly that her character will be facing a lot of changes as "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 progresses. According to the actress, Belle's pregnancy is "a long time coming," acknowledging that she now has to take responsibility of her unborn child.
"That's making her head spin a little bit with regard to, 'Okay, I can spend my life trying to fix this person, whether it's for me or for him, but if it's affecting someone else now, it's a game changer,'" de Ravin said.
"Once Upon A Time" Season 6 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8PM on ABC.
