Cameron Monaghan will reprise his role as Jerome Valeska in "Gotham" Season 3.
The actor, known for his role on Showtime's "Shameless," confirmed his return by releasing an audio clip of Jerome's sinister laugh on Twitter. The news comes after executive producer John Stephens told reporters last month that it is their 100 percent intention to bring the fan-favorite character back. However, the showrunner noted that they are still waiting for FOX's final word about the show's Season 4 pickup.

"We're going to be playing it again this year and basically extending the idea of the cult of Jerome," recently revealed to Zap2it.
"We're building the architecture for him to come back. You'll have these underground movements that have started to talk about Jerome and what he represented and how he's going to come back like in the days of John the Baptist."
In addition to Cameron Monaghan's return, "Gotham" will also tackle Bruce's doppleganger and his new playboy image in Season 3. According to his portrayer, David Mazouz, the former is nothing like the young Bruce Wayne. But the actor admits that its "definitely more fun" to play.
"Everything else about them, they think differently, they talk differently, they walk differently, they communicate differently" Mazouz told Comic Book.
"He's pretty weird, the other guy."
"Gotham" also stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Morena Baccarin, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards and Camren Bicondova. Season 3 guest stars include Jada Pinkettt Smith, Jamie Chung, James Carpinello and Tonya Pinkins.
Catch the new season of Gotham titled "Mad City" beginning on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8PM on FOX.
