Bollywood actress Radhika Apte's controversial "Parched" movie will be released with "Adults Only" certificate and a blurred nude scene.
The Central Board of Film Certification last week approved Leena Yadav-directed women centric film for release in India, with just two cuts. "Parched" received 'A' (Adults Only) certificate from the board, SpotBoye reported. The Ajay Devgn-produced movie is slated to release on Sept. 23.
Producer Aseem Bajaj said that the board cleared the movie for the release but has asked to either cut or blur a bare breast scene. "They were all moved and were reluctant to cut anything except a shot of a bare breast," he said, Free Press Journal reported. "They said it (a breast) does not jell with the Indian audiences' sensibility. We were okay with that. They gave us the option of removing or blurring the breast. We chose the latter option."
Bajaj also said that the board has also objected to excessive use of abusive language in the movie. "There were scenes showing little boys using abusive language. We also agreed to remove those abusive words," Bajaj said.
"Parched" has been in the news recently after a sex scene between Apte and her co-actor Adil Hussain leaked on internet. The leaked clip, which shows a completely naked Apte in an intimate scene with Hussain, went viral on social media and WhatsApp.
Apart from Apte, "Parched" also stars Sayani Gupta, Surveen Chawla, Lehar Khan and Tannishtha Chatterjee in key roles. Check out the official trailer and "Bhookamp" song from "Parched" movie here.
