Blizzard Entertainment's new game "Overwatch" started to gain a huge popularity. Meanwhile its acclaimed reputation has made it a subject to a porn parody by smut maker Brazzers.
Brazzers usually made porn parody from famous cultural phenomeon such as "Game of Thrones" or "Star Wars"; however, this time, the erotica company selected a video game as an improbable choice for a porn parody. The porn flick was released on Sept. 26, according to Venture Beat.
Prior to its release, "Overwatch" has become target by people in the erotica industry. Due to its mature content, many artists have created tons of pornographic images based on the cast from the game. Especially for two of the popular heroes in the "Overwatch" Reaper and Widowmaker, which are also featured in the flick.
The first person shooter game was released in May 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Blizzard Entertainment expected "Overwatch" to be the next major franchise after its successful games "Warcraft," "Starcraft" and "Diablo."
"Overwatch" is a six-man team game that allows players to select a hero from 21 characters available. Every character has different attribute, movement, and skills. Those characters are divided into four types - Offense, Defense, Tank and Support, and each team will work together to achieve a mission in securing control points or delivering a payload.
The game has amassed a big number of players since the first week of its release. Until now, more than 15 million players are registered to have played "Overwatch." Many critics poised the game as the next big eSport, for its different looks and play strategy, along with its vast maps and character's variety. Furthermore, Blizzard Entertainment is also famous to strongly support eSport activities.
In the next annual BlizzCon, starting Nov. 4, Blizzard will hold the final round of "Overwatch World Cup," according to Engadget. The World Cup will be attended by 16 national team, representing each countries that have passed qualification round. Those 16 teams represents USA, Russia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, South Korea, Finland, France, Germany, Singapore, Thailand, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and Australia.
