BLACKPINK continues to dominate the Kpop industry after making their debut a couple of months ago. Not only they are popular among Koreans, but also in countries neighboring South Korea.
Amid rising popularity, the four-member girl group has been featured here and there, hence, BLACKPINK is the newest cover girls of Singapore's "TEENAGE" magazine for their October issue, Allkpop reported.
"BLACKPINK's in the area! The first girl group to debut from YG Entertainment in seven years, BLACKPINK's unique blend of signature YG-style music and idol-worthy pretty looks has whipped the industry into a frenzy. We find out if these rookie chart-toppers are truly worth the hype," the magazine introduced the girl group.
The "TEENAGE" magazine's cover also bears the question: "BLACKPINK - The next generation 2ne1?" alongside photo of girl group's members in their white tops matched with denim trousers and shorts.
Aside from getting featured in Singapore's "TEENAGE" magazine, BLACKPINK was listed on the "8 Hot Under-the-Radar Singles From Emerging Artists You Need To Hear Now" article of Entertainment Weekly, Soompi noted.
The Entertainment Weekly's article listed BLACKPINK's "Whistle" and seven other tracks from Tkay Maidza, Leikeli47, Nick Grant, machineheart, Cappa, Youngr and Aidam as new tracks which are expected to make waves in the music industry.
"All-female girl groups are everywhere in South Korea, but the bass-heavy sounds of the four-piece supergroup BLACKPINK stand out in a big way," the article described the Korean girl group.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to make a comeback this month with at least two new singles. A source affiliated with the group revealed the members have finished filming one of the music videos they will be releasing for their return.
"For their comeback, there will be a minimum of two new tracks, or there could be more," the source added, noting that BLACKPINK filmed the music video during the Chuseok Holiday.
