Comic-Con will just be around the corner in New York by next week and they'll be showcasing a bunch of new and exciting things in store. One of which will be an early glimpse of "War for the Planet of the Apes," where 20th Century Fox will showcase a preview of the upcoming movie. Spoiler-free, of course.
As stated by Deadline, motion capture actor Andy Serkis (also known for playing Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" series) will be taking the role of the mighty Caesar once again to fight for his people. Joining the actor in the event will be director Matt Reeves and the film's producer, Dylan Clark, to provide a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the next title in the "Planet of the Apes" series.
The venue for the event will be at the Regal E-Walk Theater, and it will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8:30 PM. The event will continue the following day at different place, which will be at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, at 3 PM. Actor Andy Serkis will be answering questions as well as discuss about his career.
An earlier IGN article last year revealed that director Matt Reeves had posted in his Twitter page that production for "War for the Planet of the Apes" has begun in Vancouver. Aside from Andy Serkis reprising his computer generated role as Caesar, actor Woody Harrelson will be joining in the fray as the antagonistic Colonel. Steve Zahn will be joining in the cast as another ape, but is still unknown on what his exact role will be.
"War for the Planet of the Apes" will be released on theaters on July 14, 2017.
