After Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose departure, Jimmy Butler is the only veteran left in Bulls. His leadership is needed to bring the Bulls to enter this season's playoffs. He shows his leadership in the Pre-season game against Milwaukee Bucks.
The Rio 2016 Olympic Games gold medalist Butler is a powerful player in both defensive and offensive end of the court. He is now in-charge of the leadership role for Chicago Bulls after Noah and Rose left the windy city. The 27-year old player has shown his capability to lead Bulls in the pre-season game against Milwaukee Bucks on Monday Oct. 3.
Although Chicago Bulls lost the game 93-91, but Butler and his wingmen point guard Rajon Rondo and forward Dwyane Wade has shown their true potential. The three of them scored a combined 21 points in their first game. Milwaukee Bucks won the game in a tight game after Rashad Vaughn made a three-pointer with 39.6 seconds left and a moment later Michael Carter-Williams blocked Bulls long pass attempt, as reported by Milwauke Journal Sentinel.
Butler is acknowledged as the force on both ends of the floor through his hard work and determination, as reported by ESPN. His work ethic is unmatched since the first year in Chicago Bulls. when he was drafted as 30th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. This is also proven with him being selected the NBA Most Improved Player in 2015 and he finally made the NBA All-Star selection two times in 2015 and 2016.
The 6'7" guard is also an all-around player, as he can play in shooting guard and small forward position. In his five seasons with Chicago Bulls in the NBA Butler averages 13.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He exhibited his most improvement in the last two seasons, as his playing time is increased and also his contribution to the team as well.
